Balim Senman, MD, is a senior Cardiology fellow at Duke University. She completed her Internal Medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following her general Cardiology training, she will become a fellow in Critical Care Medicine at Duke and then plans to pursue an additional year of Interventional Cardiology fellowship training thereafter. Dr. Senman has an extensive background in basic science immunology research, but more recently has pivoted to clinical investigation focused on cardiogenic shock, resuscitation, and the design and testing of novel ways to optimize mechanical circulatory support.
